I have wanted a place to write for a very long time, but always would sit in overthinking, talking myself out of it. “What if nobody actually reads it”. “What if people make fun of me”. “What if I can’t keep up with it”. My challenge for myself these past couple of years, has been TO STOP WORRYING ABOUT WHAT PEOPLE THINK. lol I love to write, so that is what I am going to do and I am inviting you along with me.
If you know my testimony, you know that Matthew 10:31 means a lot to me. It has been an anthem for me ever since I was a little girl when my dad placed the verse above my bed during a season of crippling fear. It was my anthem in Middle School when I didn’t have many friends. It was my anthem in High School when I was leading a Bible Study and finding my relationship with the Lord. It was the verse I spoke when I got baptized and the verse I spoke over myself in college several times when I was dealing with doubt, heartbreak, fear of the future, and uncertainty. It is the verse I speak now when my mind is running and my heart is searching for a truth to stand on. When I look in the mirror and do not like what I see, I am reminded of Matthew 10:31. When I worry for what is to come, I am reminded that I am held in his hands, valued deeply, and can live in the peace that my Father provides.
I want you to be encouraged in this truth as well. I am a big advocate of community and connections. So let’s do this together! I believe that in community is where creativity and new ideas are birthed, where we can draw closer to the Lord, and where encouragement can build others up.
